The second-to-last episode of Agatha All Along on Disney+ reached 4.6 million views on its first day, a nearly 10% increase from the 4.2 million views garnered by Episode 7 within the same timeframe.
The finale, Episode 9, also debuted on Disney+ the same night and drew 3.9 million views on its first day. Disney is calling these last two episodes a “two-part finale,” and while the final episode currently trails behind Episodes 7 and 8, it’s expected to gain traction over the weekend.
When Disney reported Episode 7’s viewership of 4.2 million, they noted a 35% growth from the series premiere, estimating Episode 1 at about 3.1 million views on its first day. (Disney initially cited 9.3 million views for Episode 1, but that total reflected views over a week). Episodes 8 and 9 saw viewership increases of 48% and 26%, respectively, over the premiere.
No data was shared on viewership for Episodes 2 through 6.
As Disney and Netflix use total time watched divided by runtime to define views, Agatha All Along Episode 8 received about 3.4 million viewing hours, while the finale reached around 2.7 million viewing hours, based on their runtimes of 48 and 41 minutes, respectively.
Disney’s variable measurement periods for viewership make it challenging to directly compare Agatha All Along to other Disney+ titles. For instance, Percy Jackson and the Olympians premiered with 13.3 million views over six days, while The Acolyte and Ahsoka opened with 11.1 million and 14 million views, respectively, each measured over five days.
While Agatha All Along’s premiere week viewership of 9.3 million suggests it’s comparable to shows like Percy Jackson and The Acolyte, Disney hasn’t shared data on these shows’ finales, so conclusive comparisons are not possible.
