For her final Halloween celebration with the Today crew, Hoda Kotb thrilled fans with a memorable costume. She joined Jenna Bush Hager for the holiday festivities on the plaza on Thursday, October 31.

Hoda, 60, dressed as Jack Dawson, Leonardo DiCaprio’s character from Titanic, while Jenna, 42, portrayed Rose DeWitt Bukater, played by Kate Winslet. The pair reenacted the famous scene from the film, with Jenna saying, “I trust you Jack, I trust you with my whole heart,” as they posed on the edge of a mock ship. “I’ll never let you go,” she added.

“Do you promise?” Hoda asked. “Rose, I love you, step up here.”

“I’m flying!” Jenna exclaimed, with Hoda responding, “I’m king of the world!”

The Today hosts embraced a “VHS Rewind” theme this year, dressing as characters from classic ‘90s and 2000s movies. Al Roker appeared as Beetlejuice, while Dylan Dreyer dressed as Lydia Deetz. Carson Daly and Sheinelle Jones transformed into Austin Powers and Foxxy Cleopatra from Austin Powers in Goldmember. Savannah Guthrie dressed as Elle Woods from Legally Blonde, with a surprise visit from Luke Wilson. Craig Melvin portrayed Axel Foley from Beverly Hills Cop, Peter Alexander became Mrs. Doubtfire, and Laura Jarrett dressed as Isis from Bring It On.

This Halloween marks Hoda’s last with her Today co-hosts, as she recently announced she will leave the show in early 2025. Having moved to a new neighborhood with her daughters, Haley and Hope, she expressed her excitement about celebrating Halloween in the suburbs.

“Halloween is so fun in the suburbs,” Hoda shared on Today With Hoda & Jenna on October 18, recalling past trick-or-treating experiences at local businesses. She described her new town’s festive spirit, with decorations and parades, noting how parents prepare multiple costumes for their kids to keep up with the celebrations.

After wrapping up Halloween at the show, Hoda plans to return home for more holiday fun with her daughters. “Some people block off their streets for block parties and then go trick-or-treating and then come back,” she said. “It’s a days-long thing.”

Last year, Hoda and Jenna wowed audiences by dressing as Sonny and Cher, performing “I Got You Babe” for the show’s festivities. Hoda’s commitment to the Today show and her warm relationships with colleagues will be deeply missed.

Sheinelle Jones, 46, reflected on Hoda’s announcement: “Hoda has a relationship with every single person on this couch in her own way. We’re all wrestling with it, but we know what a dynamic mom and presence you are. Your focus on wellness is going to change the world.”
